About me

I am an Associate Professor of Finance at the College of Business and Economics, Australian National University (ANU), where I teach undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD-level courses in corporate finance. I also serve as the convenor of the finance PhD program. 

My primary research interests are in corporate finance, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and issues related to emerging markets. My research has been published in highly regarded peer-reviewed journals, including the Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial Intermediation, Financial Management, and Journal of Banking and Finance. It has received widespread recognition, with numerous citations and several awards, including the Pearson Prize for Best Paper in Financial Management. 

Before joining ANU, I taught at the University of New South Wales. I hold a PhD in Finance from Nanyang Technological University.
